9/11: My own thoughts – updated
I like the phrase “those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it.” There’s a lot of truth in that. Just like the Kennedy assassination, the powers that be wanted it open and shut quickly. Blocked out of the American peoples minds. It was mere days after the fact that President Johnson organized the Warren commission to investigate. But what people don’t realize is that a lot of the members of the Warren Commission were enemies of the late President Kennedy.
In the case of 9/11, however, an independent investigation was not forthcoming. In fact, George W. Bush fought against an independent investigation, and the Commission on terrorist attacks on the United States (9/11 Commission) took 411 days to be created. But the chief executive of the 9/11 Commission team was Phillip Zelikow. A prominent member of the Bush-Clinton transition team, Zelikow as the chief executive, had the power to sway the investigation. To this day the 9/11 Commission’s investigation remains the poorest funded investigation in American history.
One has to ask, why was the Bush administration so quick and willing to obstruct an independent investigation, and why was he so quick to hedge on the funding? We may never know. Watch the video link, its short.
If something wasn’t wrong with the 9/11 circumstances, they why did the victims wives and families rise up in such opposition to the Bush administration. Why do the 9/11 firefighters have so many questions?
Why was there molten metal at the WTC months after? Answer: thermite. Thermite is a chemical compound used in controlled demolitions. Why was the WTC debris discarded so quickly? Where are all eighty videos of the Pentagon impact? Let me remind you that none of the released videos of the Pentagon impact show a Boeing 757 impacting. If anything, it shows everything but.
Why was George W. Bush and Dick Cheney questioned in the Oval Office with no media, no verbatim, and were not sworn in under oath? Where are the answers? Where’s the beef?
As in the case of the investigation into the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, the 9/11 Commission seemed to have a preconceived conclusion. To this day no member of the U.S. intelligence apparatus have been investigated for their incompetence or compliance in the events of 9/11. As in the investigation into the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, evidence was excluded, witnesses were withheld, and the fallacy of government still goes untold.
It is my belief that the Bush administration had its dirty little hands in the events of September 11, 2001. The machinery of secret government continues to roll and the mainstream media takes it from there.
Even before George W. Bush was chosen as the President of the United States in 2000, the neoconservatives had directed the course of our foreign policy. Comprised of Bush administration insiders like Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, Jeb Bush, and Dick Cheney, American politics and our foreign power was shaping the next eight years out to be an “agenda Presidency”.
America’s invasion of the Middle East was predestined and predetermined long before September 11, 2001. The American people are fed propaganda and the military industrial complex keeps spinning. Here are four goals of PNAC:
we need to increase defense spending significantly if we are to carry out our global responsibilities today and modernize our armed forces for the future; we need to strengthen our ties to democratic allies and to challenge regimes hostile to our interests and values; we need to promote the cause of political and economic freedom abroad; [and] we need to accept responsibility for America’s unique role in preserving and extending an international order friendly to our security, our prosperity, and our principles
Pretty telling isn’t it? The Bush administration had made up their minds to invade the Middle East and all they needed was an excuse.
“Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event––like a new Pearl Harbor”
Is this foreknowledge of coming events? A hint? Or an extreme coincidence? Consider for a moment that Bush admitted Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11. He didn’t care. Regardless if we found them or not, we were there for the long haul. Six months after proclaiming that the United States wanted bin Laden dead or alive, Bush said that he didn’t “know where bin Laden is” and he “doesn’t care” and he wasn’t a “priority”.
Blackballed into supporting two wars that had no implecations of national security, the American people lost their leverage on the government. In 2006 with the primary objective of PNAC completed it was phased out. Or as BBC called it, a “ghostly website”. In killing more that 3,000 American citizens, neoconservatives reduced the U.S. Constitution to a scrap of paper and threatened liberty to its core.
When the project started, it was not intended to go forever. That is why we are shutting it down. We would have had to spend too much time raising money for it and it has already done its job. We felt at the time that there were flaws in American foreign policy, that it was neo-isolationist. We tried to resurrect a Reaganite policy. Our view has been adopted. Even during the Clinton administration we had an effect, with Madeleine Albright [then secretary of state] saying that the United States was ‘the indispensable nation’. But our ideas have not necessarily dominated. We did not have anyone sitting on Bush’s shoulder. So the work now is to see how they are implemented.
In terms of 9/11 we need to ask the question why? Who orchestrated and carried out the attacks of 9/11? Who benefited? Who has the power to cover it up? As noted earlier, it took the government 411 days to create the 9/11 commission, and it was full of Washington insiders. The Congressional committee to investigate was just scenery. A rug over a nasty stain. The Bush administration fought against the 9/11 commission, and when questioned; no media was present, no man was sworn under oath, and no verbatim. Why?
The organizing principal of any society is for war. The authority of state over its people resides in its war powers.
Ask questions. Demands answers. Knowing is half the battle.
