In a poll conducted by the Pew Research Center, Americans are more apprehensive of increasing forces in Afghanistan.  For the first time in four decades U.S. support among its own people to “mid its own business” has reached to 49%.

And who can blame them?  With promises of a war with a nation that had nuclear weapons, just to come up empty handed – the public remains wary.  Now we’re told that Iran wants nukes to annihilate Israel and political figures like Sarah Palin, John McCain, and others advocate invasion should Iran become nuclear.  Can anyone else say disaster?

Also, while the American people have become leery of China, the CFR in recent years has become more optimistic.  Only 21% of CFR members see China as a rising threat to American interests.
