Earlier this week, I read in the USA Today that SecState Hillary Clinton said something to the effect that she couldn’t believe that the people in Lybia would attack the U.S. embassies because “we helped these people.”  Well, no shit, Sherlock!  Does everyone forget Osama bin Laden?  It doesn’t matter what the pundits and politicians say – because if we were honest, it’s all the same.  They condemn the attacks and promise swift retribution, but in the end, it’s more of the back alley deals, money going to places we don’t know, and alliances bought at our expense.

If Lybia should teach us anything, it should be this: The Middle East has proven time and time again that it is a volatile battleground.  We’re not talking of the same culture as exemplified here in the States; we are talking of a (for the most part) a third-world region.  Now I am not saying that there are no religious lunatics out there, but there are still more who resent America’s presence – of propping up dictators and despots.  Look at Mubarak.  We gave him billions of dollars so he could have a plethora of mansions, and all the while his people lived in poverty.

We claim that we are “pro-Israel”, but in reality, we give more to Israel’s enemies than we give to Israel herself.  What’s wrong with this picture?  Jesus said, “when you see the enemies of Israel surrounding her, run for the hills!”  And I believe we are seeing that prophecy come to fruition.

The highly provocative anti-Muslim video “trailer” researchers claim is the handiwork of the Islamophobic provocateurs Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer and a resurgent neocon network is responsible for a new round of violent protests in the Middle East.

From the nation with the world’s largest Muslim population, Indonesia, to Afghanistan, new protests broke out on Monday. Indonesian police fired teargas and water cannon to disperse demonstrators outside the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta, while in Kabul, Afghanistan, thousands of Muslims took to the streets and set fire to cars and shops and threw stones at police. Protesters also clashed with police in Pakistan and the Philippines on Monday.

Last week, following the death of the U.S. ambassador and three members of his staff in Libya, enraged Muslims protested in Asia, Africa and the Middle East and at least nine people lost their lives.

On Sunday, U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said that even though he believed violent reaction to the video appeared to be over, he ordered nonessential personnel to leave the American diplomatic missions in Sudan, Tunisia and Libya.

In Khartoum, Sudan, the German, Canadian and British consular services remained closed on Monday following attacks on a compound housing the German and British consulates. Despite ongoing protests in Egypt, the U.S. embassy in Cairo returned to full staffing on Monday, according to the State Department.

Appearing on the Alex Jones Show on Sunday, Webster Tarpley said the video is part of an ambitious international intelligence operation aimed at creating an October Surprise designed to install Mitt Romney and his coterie of Bush-era neocons in the White House.

“The pro-Israeli neocons of the Bush-Cheney era have attached themselves to Romney as their main hope of getting back into power,” Tarpley wrote for Infowars.com on Sunday. He attributed the video “trailer” to “a well-known Islamophobic network reputedly inspired by US intelligence,” a network that includes “Pamela Geller, a notorious professional Islamophobe.”

I’ve learned after a long time of harsh words, bruised egos, and clenched fists – you cannot change the opinions of others; particularly family members.  Suffice it to say – I go out of my way to avoid politics with those close to me.  I was over at my sister’s house yesterday when my brother-in-law and sister started talking of Romney.  And all the things he was “going to do”.

Now I don’t have cable, which means I was spared the temptation and agony of watching the Republican Convention, but apparently, Romney supports the freedom of religion.  Cool!  He knows what the First Amendment says!  He’ll repeal Obamacare, lower taxes, and create jobs.  The same rhetoric that every politician spouts.

“Yeah, even the gays are getting behind Romney!” my brother-in-law said.  (This is all true.  It’s too stupid to make up.)

“Really?!” my sister asked incredulously.  At this point, my face was contorted in a tight grimace.  I was trying very hard to keep out of this.

My personal oath not with standing, I took the bait.

“That’s because he supported same-sex marriage while he was Governor of Massachusetts,” I informed.  My brother-in-law’s face looked like Forrest Gump standing at a black-board trying to compute algebra.

“He was governor of Massachusetts?” he asked.

That’s when I realized – I give up!  If people aren’t going to know enough to know what state the Republican Presidential Candidate was governor of, then you won’t believe the facts about Romney.

Romney and President Obama are like those two cars in a used car lot.  You look at the outside.  Look at the inside.  Take it for a test drive.  But even still, you can tell that something just isn’t right.

Oh, and was that a “teleprompter” I saw the the RNC?  So when Romney starts to use one, can we blast him for it?

Brain-dead twitt Sarah Palin says Todd Akin has to go.  Bless her heart!  (Not really!)

With the median household income sitting just shy of $51,000 dollars, one has to wonder – how can a member of Congress justify their income?  To the poverty stricken and destitute populace, I highly doubt that John Boehner would parade around that he makes over two-hundred and twenty grand.  But wait, a starving child is not “your” responsibility, is it, Mr. Boehner?

It Not Your Imagination – American Families ARE Getting Poorer

Michael Snyder The Economic Collapse August 28, 2012

Did you know that median household income in the United States is lower today than it was when the last recession supposedly ended?  If we are in the middle of an “economic recovery”, how can this possibly be happening?  Stunning new statistics compiled by Sentier Research show that the U.S. economy is not nearly as healthy as we have been led to believe.  According to the study that Sentier Research has just released, median household income in the United States was sitting at $55,470 back in January 2000.  In December 2007, when the recession began, it was sitting at $54,916.  In June 2009, when the recession supposedly ended, it was sitting at $53,508.  Today, it is sitting at $50,964.  This is a long-term trend that is definitely going in the wrong direction.  The fact that median household income in the U.S. is now 4.8 percent lower than it was when the last recession ended is incredibly disturbing, especially since all of the things that we buy on a regular basis just keep going up in price.  Food, gas, electricity, car insurance and health insurance all cost a whole lot more today than they did back in the year 2000, and yet median household income has dropped 8.1 percent since that time.  So what does all of this mean?  It means that American families ARE getting poorer.

Yes, the stock market has been soaring, corporate profits have set all-time records in recent years and the big Wall Street banks that were showered with bailout money are absolutely thriving.

But there has been no economic recovery on “Main Street”.

According to the Sentier Research report mentioned above, incomes have been declining in all geographic regions of the country and in all sectors of the economy….

-Median household income for the self-employed has fallen 9.4 percent since June 2009.

-Median household income for private sector employees has fallen 4.5 percent since June 2009.

-Median household income for government workers has fallen 3.5 percent since June 2009.

-Median household income for Americans living in the West has fallen 8.5 percent since June 2009.

-Median household income for Americans living in the Northeast has fallen 4.9 percent since June 2009.

-Median household income for Americans living in the South has also fallen 4.9 percent since June 2009.

-Median household income for Americans living in the Midwest has fallen 1.1 percent since June 2009.

Remember, the recession supposedly ended in June 2009.

Since that time we have supposedly been in a “recovery”.

So if it has seemed to you that American families have been getting poorer it has not just been your imagination.

In a previous article, I detailed 84 statistics that prove that the middle class in America is being systematically destroyed.  If you have not read it yet, I encourage you to go check it out.  At this point it is absolutely undeniable that the middle class in America is declining.  The following are just a couple of the numbers from my recent article….

1. According to the Pew Research Center, 61 percent of all Americans were “middle income” back in 1971.  Today, only 51 percent of all Americans are.

2. The Pew Research Center has also found that 85 percent of middle class Americans say that it is harder to maintain a middle class standard of living today compared with 10 years ago.

3. 62 percent of middle class Americans say that they have had to reduce household spending over the past year.

4. The average net worth of a middle class family in America was $129,582 in 2001.  By 2010 that figure had dropped to $93,150.

5. According to the Federal Reserve, the median net worth of all families in the United States declined “from $126,400 in 2007 to $77,300 in 2010“.

You can find 79 more statistics just like this right here.

At the same time that our incomes are going down, the cost of living just continues to rise steadily.

Thanks Ben Bernanke.

American families are being increasingly stretched financially, and if major changes are not made this is going to get even worse in the years ahead.

Another thing that we aren’t being told on the nightly news is that the percentage of working age Americans that have jobs is lower today than when the last recession ended.

So let’s summarize….

-A smaller percentage of Americans have jobs today compared to June 2009.

-Median household income has declined by 4.8 percent since June 2009.

-American families are far less wealthy than they were just a few years ago.

Are we sure that we are in an economic recovery?

Just look at what is happening to our cities.

The rest of the world once looked at Detroit in awe.

Now it is a global joke.

You can see some incredible photographs of the devastation in Detroit right here.

This kind of thing is happening on the east coast as well.  I have written many times about how horrible life has become in places such as Camden, New Jersey.

Well, now the entire Camden police force is being disbanded, and the policing of the city is going to be turned over to the county.

We are a mess, and it is time to admit that.

Sadly, most Americans simply have no idea how close our economic system really is to total system failure.

Only 24.6 percent of the jobs in this country are “good jobs” at this point, the velocity of money in our economy has plunged to a post-World War II low, unemployment is rampant, more than half of all Americans are at least partially financially dependent on the government and our national debt is crossing the 16 trillion dollar mark.

We don’t need someone to come in and “tweak” the economy.

We need radical reconstructive surgery.

But most Americans do not understand this.

Most Americans do not seem to grasp these things until economic hardship touches them personally.

After all, if you still have a good job and the mainstream media is telling you that everything is going to be okay it is really easy to pretend that we aren’t heading for an economic disaster of unimaginable proportions.

A massive problem that we are facing right now is something known as “normalcy bias”. This is how Wikipedia defines “normalcy bias”….

The normalcy bias, or normality bias, refers to a mental state people enter when facing a disaster. It causes people to underestimate both the possibility of a disaster occurring and its possible effects. This often results in situations where people fail to adequately prepare for a disaster, and on a larger scale, the failure of governments to include the populace in its disaster preparations. The assumption that is made in the case of the normalcy bias is that since a disaster never has occurred then it never will occur. It also results in the inability of people to cope with a disaster once it occurs. People with a normalcy bias have difficulties reacting to something they have not experienced before. People also tend to interpret warnings in the most optimistic way possible, seizing on any ambiguities to infer a less serious situation.

Doesn’t that sound exactly like the vast majority of Americans right now?

Most Americans just assume that since we have always recovered from every other economic downturn in the past that we will always be able to easily handle whatever the future throws at us.

If only that was true.

We are heading into a time that will be unlike anything any of us have ever experienced before, and many people that have blind faith in the system are going to be absolutely devastated when this coming crisis blindsides them.

Our economy has been collapsing, it is continuing to collapse, and the collapse is going to accelerate dramatically in the coming years.

You can have blind faith in the system, or you can get prepared for what is coming.

The choice is up to you.

Drugged up massacre suspect can’t remember ‘Batman’ shooting

Paul Joseph Watson Prison Planet.com Friday, July 27, 2012

The parallels between alleged Colorado shooter James Holmes and Sirhan Sirhan are staggering. Both appear to have been drugged, both cannot remember the shootings they were accused of carrying out, and in both cases other shooters were reported by eyewitnesses.

Over 40 years after being convicted of the murder of Robert F. Kennedy, the weight of evidence clearly indicates that SIrhan Sirhan was a drugged-up patsy, a fall guy for the real murderer who has never been identified.

The fact that details surrounding the Aurora massacre and shooting suspect James Holmes mirror almost exactly those of Sirhan Sirhan, within just a week of the tragedy taking place, strongly suggest that Holmes is also a patsy or at the very least that there was a wider plot behind the tragedy that led to the deaths of 12 people.

As the London Independent reported in 2005, evidence strongly indicates that Sirhan was a Manchurian candidate, a victim of mind control who was set up to be the fall guy for the murder. Sirhan was described by eyewitnesses as being in a trance-like state as he pulled the trigger.

“There was no way Sirhan Sirhan killed Kennedy,” said (Sirhan’s lawyer Larry) Teeter, who has filed the lawsuit to preserve the pantry for further forensic examination. “He was the fall guy. His job was to get busted while the trigger man walked out. He wasn’t consciously involved in any plot. He was a patsy. He was unconscious and unaware of what was happening – he was the true Manchurian Candidate.”

The parallels between Sirhan Sirhan and James Holmes are alarming.

- Both were described as behaving as if in a trance or under the influence of drugs. “I felt drugged. I think somebody slipped something into my drinks,” said Sirhan, describing the moments before the shooting of RFK. Similarly, during his court appearance earlier this week, Holmes’ behavior clearly suggested he was also under the influence of strong medication. “The 24-year-old looked confused, blinked slowly, and struggled to keep his head up, leading the press to wonder if he’d been drugged,” reported NYMag.com.

- Both Sirhan Sirhan and James Holmes cannot remember any details of the alleged shootings they are accused of carrying out. “I didn’t know where I was and I don’t know how I got there. I was in a state of blackout,” stated Sirhan. Similarly, Holmes has told prison guards that he has no idea why he is in jail and is suffering from amnesia. “He claims he doesn’t know why he’s in jail,” a jailhouse worker told NY Daily News . “He asked, ‘Why am I here?’”

- In both the RFK and ‘Batman’ shootings eyewitnesses described other shooters, dismantling the “lone wolf” narrative. According to Nina Rhodes-Hughes, another man was shooting at RFK and the authorities tried to alter her account of what happened. “What has to come out is that there was another shooter to my right,” Rhodes-Hughes said in an interview with CNN. “The truth has got to be told. No more cover-ups.” Sirhan’s lawyers also presented evidence that “two guns were fired in the assassination and that Sirhan’s revolver was not the gun that shot Kennedy.” Similarly in the case of Holmes, eyewitnesses described two shooters, noting that one of the gas canisters was thrown from the opposite side of the theater to where the killer was standing. . It was also clear that Holmes, or whoever the killer in the gas mask was, had an accomplice. Eyewitnesses described the killer talking on a cellphone before the shooting and then standing in the emergency exit and beckoning someone else over.

The CIA’s use of mind control to create killers is a matter of historical record. MK-ULTRA was the code name for a covert, illegal CIA human research program, run by the Office of Scientific Intelligence that came to light in 1975 through investigations by the Church Committee, and by a presidential commission known as the Rockefeller Commission. 14-year CIA veteran Victor Marchetti insists that the program is ongoing and has not been abandoned.

Holmes, a neuroscience student, was also fascinated with mind control. During his time at Salk Institute of Biological Studies, Holmes designed a computer program to alter mental states using flicker rates. Arizona shooter Jared Lee Loughner was also obsessed with mind control.

There are also a myriad of other questions surrounding the ‘Batman’ shootings that conflict with the official narrative, such as how Holmes could have developed bomb-making skills that exhibit the proficiency of an explosives expert, or why he carefully booby-trapped his apartment to kill anyone who tried to enter but then told police about the bombs as soon as he was arrested.

According to his lawyers, Sirhan Sirhan “was an involuntary participant in the crimes being committed because he was subjected to sophisticated hypno programming and memory implantation techniques which rendered him unable to consciously control his thoughts and actions at the time the crimes were being committed,” and served only as a diversion for the real assassin

Was James Holmes also just a diversion to hide the identify of the real assassin?

With the political machine now rushing headlong to exploit last week’s massacre to eviscerate the second amendment, each piece of new evidence points to the fact that Holmes was just one part of the puzzle or even worse, an unwitting patsy who took the fall for the real killer.

Why is it everytime one of these psycos goes on a shooting rampage, we find out he was “under psychiatric care”.  INSIDE JOB!!!

London Independent

The former University of Colorado graduate student accused of killing 12 people and wounding 58 others in a shooting rampage at a cinema last week had been under the care of a psychiatrist who was part of a campus threat-assessment team.

The disclosure came in court documents filed yesterday by lawyers for James Holmes, 24, who is accused of opening fire last Friday on a packed showing of the latest Batman movie, “The Dark Knight Rises,” in the Denver suburb of Aurora.

The defence attorneys, in their request to an Arapahoe County district judge, are seeking a court order requiring prosecutors to turn over the contents of a package that Holmes sent to Dr. Lynne Fenton and was later seized by investigators.

“Mr. Holmes was a psychiatric patient of Dr. Fenton, and his communications with her are protected,” the filing said.

Fenton, medical director for student mental health services at the University of Colorado-Denver Anschutz Medical Campus, provides medication and psychotherapy for grad students in addition to her teaching duties, according to a school website.

A professional biography of Fenton posted on the site said she had conducted research on schizophrenia, including a two-year grant to work in the schizophrenia research department of the US Department of Veterans Affairs from 2008 to 2010.

Fenton also is a member of the campus-based “behavioral assessment and threat assessment team,” which helps faculty and staff deal with “individuals who may be threatening, disruptive or otherwise problematic,” according to that group’s website.

It could not be ascertained if Fenton was caring for Holmes under the threat-assessment program or under routine counseling she provided to students on campus.

Under Colorado law, mental health professionals cannot be held liable in civil suits for failing to predict a patient’s violent behavior unless it involves a “serious threat of imminent physical violence against a specific person or persons.” When such a threat is made, the mental health professional is required to take action, which may include notifying those targeted or a law enforcement agency.

Fenton could not immediately be reached for comment, and a spokeswoman for the University of Colorado medical school declined to comment, citing restrictions under a gag order issued by the judge presiding over the case.

The university, where Holmes had been enrolled as a doctoral student of neuroscience, confirmed earlier this week that a suspicious package was delivered by mail on Monday and that it was “immediately investigated and handed over to authorities within hours.”

Fox News has reported, citing an unnamed law enforcement source close to the investigation, that two packages were sent by Holmes to a psychiatrist on the faculty of the University of Colorado, and that one contained a notebook detailing the shooting scenario. According to Fox News, the notebook contained hand-drawn illustrations of stick figures shooting at other stick figures.

The defence motion accuses the government of leaking information to the media in defiance of a gag order, thereby jeopardizing Holmes’ rights to due process and fair trial by an impartial jury. It says his lawyers will request a hearing to determine “appropriate sanctions for this misconduct.”

Prosecutors, responding to the discovery motion, disputed various elements of media accounts as being erroneous, suggesting that anyone who had provided information to Fox News and other outlets lacked real knowledge of the case.

“These factual errors lead (the government) to believe … that the media is getting information from hoaxers, fraudsters, or maybe from nobody at all by creating fake ‘law enforcement sources’ out of whole cloth,” prosecutors said in their filing.

Formal charges against the suspect, who dyed his hair bright orange and was said by authorities to have referred to himself as the Joker – Batman’s comic book archenemy – are expected to be filed in court on Monday.

The judge in the case, William Sylvester, set a hearing on the defence discovery motion to be held as part of Monday’s proceedings. Sylvester also said he would consider a pleading by news media organizations to make public court documents the judge has sealed in the case.

Arrested within minutes of the shooting rampage at his car in the theatre’s parking lot, Holmes is being held in solitary confinement in the local jail.

In addition to charges stemming from one of the worst outbursts of US gun violence in recent years, he is accused of wiring his apartment with enough explosives to have leveled the entire building if they had been detonated.

The apartment house was evacuated when the booby traps were discovered. But the explosives were later safely dismantled and removed by authorities, and Holmes’ neighbors began returning to their homes on Wednesday night.

The latest disclosures about the suspect came to light as mourners attended the third funeral in as many days for one of the victims of the shooting rampage, this one for an 18-year-old high school graduate, Alexander J. “AJ” Boik,” who was bound for art college in the fall.

In addition to Fenton’s research on schizophrenia, she also has a background in physical medicine and had worked as a medical acupuncturist at a Colorado rehab centre for several years before doing her residency in psychiatry, according to her resume on the University of Colorado website.

State records posted online show that she received a “letter of admonition” from the Colorado Board of Medical Examiners in 2004, though details of the rebuke could not be immediately accessed from the board’s website.

The New York Times reported the admonition cited Fenton for prescribing various pills for her husband and other non-patients on several occasions – including the sleep aid Ambien, the allergy medication Claritin and the painkiller Vicodin – and for failing to properly document the prescriptions. According to the Times, the board noted in its letter that she was no longer writing prescriptions for non-patients.
